It is with great sadness that we share with you the tragic news that the Moore Family was involved in a multiple-vehicle crash in the early morning hours of May 25, 2019 in Michigan. Jaidyn Moore, age 9, died on the scene and Jennifer Moore, 46 (Jaidyn’s mother and the wife of Howard Moore), died later at the hospital after being taken off life support.

Howard Moore was seriously injured in the accident, while son Jerrell, 13, escaped with minor injuries.  Howard is expected to make a full recovery.

According to the Michigan State Police, 23-year-old Samantha Winchester of Ann Arbor was driving the wrong way on a highway northeast of Ann Arbor and caused the accident at 2:04 a.m. The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Board of Directors of the Moore Foundation extends its deepest sympathies to the Moore family and their large network of family and friends.  Jennifer and Jaidyn will forever remain in our thoughts and prayers.

The Moore family has been overwhelmed with the support they have felt in the wake of this tragedy.  From hospital visits to notes of encouragement, the support from their family and friends has given them the strength to go forward and live a life in service of their lost loved ones.  Many people have asked what they can do to further support Howard and Jerrell. We kindly ask that anyone looking to support Howard and Jerrell make a donation to The Moore Foundation to help us continue the good work that the Moore family is so passionate about.  Anyone interested in making a donation, can do so by clicking on the Donate button at the top of this page.
